Puerto Vallarta is without a doubt, one of the favorite beaches by tourists due to a combination of provincial air, folklore, Mexican traditions, modern hotels and rainforest.

It’s located in the state of Jalisco, one of the biggest in the world: Bandera’s Bay.

It was founded with the name of Puerto Peñas in 1851 and it was an important distribution center in that time.

In 1918 it is named Puerto Vallarta in honor of Ignacio Vallarta, a representative of the state of Jalisco of that year.

For a long time it was recognized as a harbor for fishermen.

The character of ideal place to go on vacation at an international level was given for the first time when the director JoHn Huston discovered the great beauty of the harbor which motivated him to produce the movie 'La noche de La Iguana' made in the Mismaloya beach.
